چکیده
Preoperative radiochemotherapy is a promising therapeutic method for locally advanced rectal cancer patients. However, the response of colorectal (CRC) patients to preoperative radiotherapy varies widely. In this study, we aimed identify novel biomarkers that could predict tumors treatment using systems biology approach. We applied Weighted Gene Co-Expression Network Analysis construct co-expression networks and evaluated correlation these with radiation module-trait relationship. then identified hub genes related transcription factors in selected module. Our analysis seven constructed modules revealed one module, which contained 113 nodes 6066 edges, had strongest effects on CRC (correlation = 0.85; p-value 6e-7). By analyzing module CytoHubba plugin, four genes, including ZEB2, JAM2, NDN, PPAP2A. also important factors, KLF4, SUZ12, TCF4, NANOG, POU5F1, SOX2, SMARCA4, may play essential roles regulating genes. In summary, our findings suggest PPAP2A, along be associated chemoradiotherapy.

Background and Objectives: To compare pathologic complete response (pCR) in patients with advanced rectal cancer receiving neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (NACT) by 5-FU or Xeloda (capecitabine) with and without Eloxatin (oxaloplatin injection). Materials and Methods: Seventy-five consecutive patients with the diagnosis of advanced rectal adenocarcinoma were included. Two basic chemotherapy r...
متن کاملThe Expression of T-Helper Associated Transcription Factors and Cytokine Genes in Pre-Eclampsia
Background: Pre-eclampsia (PE) is known as a main factor contributing to fetomaternal mortality, which might affect 2-8% of all pregnancies after the twentieth week of gestation. The balance of T helper subsets is essential to sustain a normal pregnancy and preventing fetomaternal complications. Objective: To investigate differences in the levels of transcription factors and cytokine gene e...

Extended Abstract Introduction and Objective: Considering the importance of salinity in wheat and the multigene nature of this trait, the present study was conducted to investigate the expression of key genes involved in the response of wheat to this stress and to create their network. Material and Methods: In this study, the expression of key genes (HKT, DREB, bZIP, NAC, and WARKY) involved...
متن کاملCo-expression Network Analysis of Human lncRNAs and Cancer Genes
We used gene co-expression network analysis to functionally annotate long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) and identify their potential cancer associations. The integrated microarray data set from our previous study was used to extract the expression profiles of 1,865 lncRNAs. Known cancer genes were compiled from the Catalogue of Somatic Mutations in Cancer and UniProt databases. Co-expression analysi...
متن کاملDiscriminating cancer-related and cancer-unrelated chemoradiation-response genes for locally advanced rectal cancers
For patients with locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC) treated with preoperation chemoradiation (pCRT), identifying differentially expressed (DE) genes between non-responders and responders is a common approach for investigating mechanisms of chemoradiation resistance. However, some of such DE genes might be irrelevant to cancer itself but simply reflect the pharmacokinetic differences of the ...
